A woman lawyer was shot dead in the Johar Town area of Lahore on Monday. Police stated that the attackers who were riding a bike chased her and then shot at her.
The injured was taken to the Jinnah Hospital where she succumbed to her wounds.
The authorities are using Safe City cameras to trace the accused. The police reached the site of the incident following the murder.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzadar has taken notice of the incident, seeking a report on the same from the Lahore CCPO. CM Buzdar also ordered the authorities concerned to ensure that the culprits are arrested at the earliest.
The motive behind the murder remains unclear as of now. However, the police have begun the investigation into the incident.
