Critique of Google


Daily Dunya (26 November 2019) reported that Indian PM Narendra Modi expressed his complaint (gila) regarding Google. He was quoted as saying that Google was destroying a reading habit among people, because it had become a shortcut to search for any reference rather than consulting books.


Fix-it


Federal railways minister Sheikh Rasheed, according to Daily Express (26 November 2019), is of the view that the economy had been fixed (seedhi ho chuki hai) but that there were still high prices and unemployment to deal with, and that the Prime Minister would soon get to grips with it.


Coming soon: Mujhe Kyun Nikala


Siraj-ul-Haq of the Jamaat-e-Islami was quoted by Daily Express (27 November 2019) as saying that the current rulers (hukmran) would soon also be saying, in a few days, “Mujhe kyun nikala?” (Why was I removed?) He went on to note that in order to become Tipu Sultan, it was necessary to come out onto the field of action.

According to Daily Ausaf (29 November 2019), Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri is of the view that the credit for the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) goes to Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman of the JUI-F since he had gotten it started after meeting with the Chinese.


Azadi March: an appraisal


Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, according to Daily Dunya (01 December 2019), expressed his view that in Pakistan, a Jewish agent had worn a political guise and raised the slogan of change (tabdeeli) as a conspiracy to stop the Islamic democratic revolution (Islami jamhuri inquilab), but that the Azadi March had foiled this.
