UAE Reiterates Commitment To Pakistan
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir was assured on Sunday by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of his country’s commitment to supporting all that achieves unity and stability in Pakistan, reported UAE news agency.

The guarantee was given over the phone to the army chief by the UAE president.

As per the UAE news source, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and General Asim Munir talked about methods to promote and improve defense and military matters between Abu Dhabi and Islamabad in order to advance the interests of both countries.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was acknowledged and praised in return, and the army chief extended his wishes for the UAE's continuous development, progress, and prosperity.

The event occurs while Pakistan experiences both political and economic difficulties as a result of the continuous conflict between the ruling coalition and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

General Asim Munir visited the UAE as one of his first overseas destinations after becoming chief of army staff. Earlier this year, he had initially visited Saudi Arabia before making a pit stop in the UAE.

In order to resuscitate the Extended Fund Facility program, Pakistan is also seeking assistance from the UAE to release a vital IMF tranche.

In March and April, assistance from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and China helped Pakistan fill a portion of the budget gap.
