Two passenger vehicles traveling from Gultari to Skardu have been missing for 27 hours in the Duasi Plain. The vehicles, carrying 13 to 14 people, lost communication and have not been located since. Snow is still falling in the area, which is making the search more difficult.
Journalist Iqbal Ali Iqbal, who is from Gultari and works in Skardu, reported the situation. Families of the missing passengers are urgently calling on the government and Pakistan Army to launch a rescue mission to find their loved ones.
A local rescue team has already traveled from Gultari to the Duasi Plain to search for the missing vehicles. Additionally, a Pakistan Army helicopter is on standby, ready to begin the search once the weather clears. According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) office in Gilgit, the rescue operation will begin as soon as the weather conditions improve enough to allow for safe searching. The families and authorities are hoping for better weather so the operation can start and bring the missing passengers home.
