In an apparent reference to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)'s response to the landmark judgement nullifying former deputy speaker's ruling against no-confidence motion and dissolution of National Assembly, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial has noted that the Supreme Court's decisions are being criticised by 10k-15k people at rallies.
The chief justice expressed these remarks during the hearing of the case pertaining to the apex court's opinion on Article 63-A of the Constitution that governs the disqualification of lawmakers over floor crossing.
Justice Bandial went on to say that the judiciary expects political leaders to be able to defend the court's judgements in public.
Further, the chief justice was quoted as saying that the judges were abused for protecting the constitution, but the judiciary will continue to do its job.
On Sunday, PTI supporters living abroad held protests against former prime minister Imran Khan's ouster. A video where they were seen abusing the judges who had declared the deputy speaker's ruling rejecting no-confidence motion against Imran Khan null and void went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, during his speeches at the rallies against his government's ouster, PTI Chairman Imran Khan has been asking why the courts were opened at midnight.
