A significant chunk of Pakistan's 126 million registered voters are youngsters between the ages of 18-35, while voters between the ages of 26 to 35 years form the singular most populous group of voters.

The gender ratio of registered voters showed that males made up around 54.02 percent of voters, while women were nine percent less [45.98 percent] than men.
The report of the country's top election body was issued after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the national assembly will hand over administration to a caretaker setup next month. The ECP, after getting the power to issue a schedule of elections, has issued this report.
The ECP’s report revealed that the number of registered voters in the country had soared past 126 million as of June 20, 2023.This is a little less than half of the 249.5 million people counted in the recently concluded census.
The total number of registered voters in the federal capital was over one million, the smallest number of registered voters in a territory.
In terms of age, 23.5 million were in the age bracket of 18 to 25 years, while those in the age bracket of 26 to 35 years numbered 32.6 million, and people in the age limit of 36 to 45 years were 27.8 million. This meant that together, voters in the age group of 18-45 accounted for around 66.6 percent of all voters.
Punjab had the most registered voters with 71.6 million. Of these, 38.41 million are men and 33.19 million are women.
After Punjab, Sindh had the most voters, with some 26.53 million registered. This includes of 14.38 million men and 12.14 million women.
The number of registered voters in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) was over 21.62 million. Of these, 11.79 million are male and 9.82 million are female, according to the report.
Balochistan had 5.27 million registered voters - including around 2.9 million who are men and around 2.3 million are women.
