The late director frequently asked his wife for her thoughts on his films.

Pamela Chopra wrote the script for "Kabhi Kabhie," one of Yash Chopra's best hits. Amitabh Bachchan, Raakhee, Shashi Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Rishi Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor all had prominent roles in the 1976 movie, which also starred Waheeda Rehman. Along with Yash Chopra, Aditya Chopra, and Tanuja Chandra, she is also listed as a co-writer for the 1997 popular song "Dil To Pagal Hai." Pamela Chopra had a strong affinity for music, and Yash Chopra made sure his wife attended the music sessions for his films. Pamela had declared that music was her love while on The Romantics. "Yash was aware of this and would invite me to the music sessions. I gradually assimilated into that group," she shared once.

In the documentary series, Uday noted, "My mother had a pretty good sense of music and song." "In our home, we have a room called the music room that was specially designed to foster creativity." For Yash Chopra's flicks like "Kabhi Kabhie" and "Mujhse Dosti Karoge!" (2002), Pamela Chopra sang various songs.

Additionally, she made one appearance on the big screen for the "Dil To Pagal Hai" opening song, "Ek Duje Ke Vaaste." In this song, Pamela Chopra makes a brief appearance alongside her husband, Yash Chopra.
