PML-N Offering PTI Lawmakers Up To Rs500m To Change Loyalties: Murad Raas
Former PTI Punjab Minister for Education Murad Raas has claimed that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is offering his party lawmakers up to Rs50 million each to change their loyalties ahead of the election for the Punjab chief minister’s post.

In a tweet, Murad Raas said that the PML-N is “trying everything to stay in power”.

Meanwhile, PTI leader Mian Aslam Iqbal said that their numbers are complete, but a "market is being set up to buy members."

Earlier on Monday, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah had said that the PML-N would not let the PML-Q's Chaudhry Pervez Elahi become the province’s chief minister easily on July 22, when a recount of votes takes place.

He had said that the defeat in the Punjab by-elections is a "temporary loss" which the PML-N would recover from the PTI in the next election.

The results of the Punjab by-polls have completely changed the numbers game in the Punjab Assembly and Pervez Elahi is most likely to replace Hamza Shahbaz Sharif as the new chief minister of the province.

In the Sunday’s by-elections, PTI had won 15 out of the total 20 seats while the PML-N had secured four seats.
