Unidentified vandals have defaced and smashed the tombstones of some Ahmadi elders in Jhelum.
Locals said that the vandals had sprayed the epitaphs on at least two graves with black paint and ink, while some tombstones were also smashed.
The graves belonged to three elders of the local Ahmadiyya community and are highly respected.
The defaced graves were noticed by locals recently, and they believe that the activity was conducted in the second week of July.
