The Federal Judicial Academy is hosting a three-day regional symposium on inclusive justice from June 27–29, 2024, with support from the EU and UN Women.
Women in Law Initiative Pakistan's #100YearsPhotoExhibition will be featured as part of the symposium, with additional categories covering females from the district judiciary, the Law and Justice Commission Pakistan, and the Federal Judicial Academy.
"We are delighted in the way our #VisibilityMatters campaign through this poster exhibition has been embraced by a relevant state institution from the justice sector. We appreciate their invitation to showcase and house our exhibition at the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA),” said Nida Usman Chaudhary, founder of Women in Law Initiative Pakistan.
"We are also finally seeing conversations on inclusivity taking place at this level, supported by leading stakeholders in apex judicial bodies. That is a success of concerted efforts and engagement over the years, as well as representation in apex bodies that matters," she added.
Nida will be speaking about navigating meaningful inclusivity: ensuring representation as one of the panelists at the conference on June 28 as part of the symposium, along with esteemed colleagues including J Suntariya (Thailand), Judge Maria (Philippines), J Muhammad Aamir Nawaz, Justice Omer Sial, and Barrister Rida Hosain.
This panel will be moderated by ADSJ Ms. Hina Muzaffar, and the plenary address will be delivered by the Honourable Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Justice Ayesha A. Malik.
