Eight Dead As Tourist Van Plunges Into Ravine Near Babusar Top
A tourist van that had been traveling through the Gettidas region near Babusar Top on Friday fell into a steep canyon, killing up to eight people and injuring many more.

According to the police, the van caught fire after crashing into the ravine.

According to reports, the van was traveling from Gilgit to the city's center via the Kaghan Valley when it crashed while making a tight curve in the steep terrain. Children and women were also among the deceased, while Sahiwal residents made up the injured.

After hearing about the event, the Rescue 1122 teams, police, and local volunteers sped to the scene and transported the injured to the Regional Headquarters Hospital in Chilas.

The injured included people from Sahiwal named Zahid, Rida, Urooj Fatima, Amina, and Mohammad Zafar.

According to Chilas Assistant Commissioner Sadaqat Ali, the collision was caused by speeding.
