A Sindh police assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was shot dead earlier today (Friday) in Karachi’s Soldier Bazaar, along with two other men.
Four armed men on two motorcycles opened fire on the victims as they rode through Soldier Bazaar No. 2, shooting at them with a 9mm pistol. 13 pieces of 9mm pistol ammunition have been collected from the crime scene.
The victims were identified as Javed Baloch, Mohammad Muqaddas, and an unidentified man. The men are said to be residents of Lyari’s Chakiwara neighborhood.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Qamar Raza Jaskani said early investigations indicated that the murder was due to personal enmity, not in relation to any armed robbery response. He also confirmed the identity of the slain ASI as Javed Baloch.
