PM Imran To Address Nation Tonight, Says Minister
After the prime minister's speech was postponed yesterday, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry confirmed that PM Imran Khan will address the nation tonight.

Fawad Chaudhry took to Twitter to announce the prime minister's speech. Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid also told the media to expect PM Imran Khan to deliver an address tonight, adding that the next two days will be 'very important.'

'Imran Khan is standing steadfast against the traitors of democracy,' Rashid assured.

Yesterday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lost the majority in the National Assembly after Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) announced its allegiance with the opposition in the upcoming vote of no-confidence against the prime minister. The premier was scheduled to give a speech last night but the address was postponed due to untold circumstances.

Imran Khan has alleged of late that the no-confidence motion is part of a larger international conspiracy to oust him from power.  He has repeatedly made mention of a secret letter in his possession which provides evidence of such a plot.  While the letter has been sealed under the Official Secrecy Act, its contents were shared with members of the cabinet and senior journalists.

Tabled on March 28, the no-confidence motion against the prime minister is scheduled for arguments today in the National Assembly. The motion is fourth on a 28-point agenda.
