Former CM Extends Support To Gwadar Protestors, Warns Govt Against Using Force
National Party (NP) president Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch has said that the demands of the people who have been protesting in Gwadar for the last several days are legitimate and should be accepted by the government.

While addressing a NP workers convention in Quetta, he said that the dispute should be resolved through dialogue, while warning the government not to use force against the protesters. He added that all the protesters are demanding is basic human rights.

While raising the demands of the protesters he said that unnecessary check posts, illegal fishing trawlers, and curbs on border trade were making life extremely difficult for the people of Balochistan.

Baloch alleged that the ‘Thappa mafai’ had installed puppet rulers in the 2018 elections who were now engaged in massive corruption as a result of which the Pak-Iran border area is suffering.

While talking about the federal government’s role, he said that by “using the irrational term of south Balochistan had declared the region insurgency-affected and claimed that it would start development work worth trillions of rupees in these areas”.

Taking a jibe at the government, he said that elected people were not considered legitimate representatives by the public. He again warned the government not to use force against the protesters or there would be agitation all over Balochistan.
