'Police Team Departs To Arrest Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah'
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday claimed that a police team was on it way to nab Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.

The PTI said the police team was due to arrive at Kohsar police station any moment now in a tweet. Proceedings pertaining to Sanaullah's arrest will formally commence with local police having been made cognisant, the PTI said on its official handle at the micro-blogging site.

A Rawalpindi court had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the interior minister in connection with corruption charges earlier. The interior minister is said to have allegedly 'procured' property at rates less than prevailing prices. The interior minister, according to reports, had not been cooperating in a corruption inquiry against him.

Information Minister Marryum Auragzeb said in a tweet that the development was representative of the fear that had gripped PTI chairman Imran Khan. She said the moved was aimed at spread instability, panic and discord to divert attention from Imran Khan's attempts to compromise the nation and hoodwink the people exposed. She said this was a precursor to attack the federation on the directives of the PTI.

Punjab Home Minister Muhammad Hashim, separately, claimed in a tweet that a press conference will be organised soon on Sanaullah's warrants having been issued. He said Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister Mussadiq Abbasi will hold the presser.
