Zubair Ahmed Khan, a former advisor to former Punjab chief minister Pervez Elahi, was allegedly abducted on Wednesday night by unknown persons from outside his residence located in Rawalpindi.
Zubair Ahmed Khan’s son Shuja Zubair said that his father was coming home, and as soon as he entered the street, unknown persons dressed in plain clothes stopped his car at gunpoint and forcibly pulled his father out of it, shifted him into another car, and escaped.
According to Shuja Zubair, unknown persons dressed in plain clothes were already on the street on cars and motorcycles. He said that an application for the safe recovery of his father has been submitted to the police on the complaint of Muhammad Mubeen, who has been serving as a driver with his father for 15 years.
Meanwhile, police said that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway for the safe recovery of Zubair Ahmed Khan.
