Mir Yaqoob Bizenjo, whose name was listed among the world’s four leading drug barons by the White House, has accepted the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) ticket to contest from Gwadar for the National Assembly seat.
It is pertinent to mention here that Bizenjo had refused to accept the Pakistan Muslim League (N) ticket for the upcoming 2024 elections.
Earlier, Bizenjo issued a statement in which he confirmed that he refused the ticket issued by the PML-N and expressed his intent to run as an independent candidate.
Now Bizenjo has accepted the PPP ticket, and he will contest the elections for the NA-259 constituency.
In 2009, Mir Yaqoob Bizenjo’s name was listed among the world’s four leading drug barons by the White House, but despite this, he is well-regarded in his community and holds a significant influence in the region.
