The year 2023 will be remembered for the brutal treatment of Ahmadis in Pakistan due to the continuous attacks on their places of worship.

On August 18, the police and civil administration demolished the Ahmadiyya place of worship located in Sialkot.

At the request of the Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP), the civil administration and the police pressured the Ahmadis to demolish the arch of their place of worship themselves.

Later, to fulfill the wish of the TLP, the police and civil administration illegally demolished the arch of the Ahmadi place of worship on the night of August 18.

At night, police officers, along with municipal officials, blocked the street from both sides and started breaking the arch. The municipal employees also took the debris with them.

The demolition of Ahmadiyya places of worship by state officials to fulfill the illegal wishes of an extremist party, TLP, can be concluded to be evidence that the state departments are being blackmailed by fearing the malice of the extremist party.

During this year, there were 18 incidents of attacks on the places of worship of the Ahmadiyya community, in which minarets and mihrabs were destroyed. The police were complicit with the extremist elements instead of protecting the Ahmadi worship places.
