Three of the four suspects involved in the alleged rape of a schoolgirl at gunpoint were arrested by Islamabad police on Wednesday.
The incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Shalimar police station.
On the complaint of the victim’s mother, the police filed a case against the accused, which led to the arrest of three of them.
The police said they were conducting raids to apprehend the fugitive suspect.
According to the first information report (FIR), the victim’s friend, named Anish, tricked her into going to an abandoned house in Sinyari hamlet. Anish’s friends Afad Malik, Hasan Shakeel, and Junaid were also there in the house, it added.
According to the FIR, the girl was sexually abused by Anish and Hasan Shakeel in addition to being raped by Afad Malik and Junaid as they held a pistol to her head.
The police said that further inquiries regarding the case were ongoing.
