Reported in Dunya (July 8, 2015) the Peshawar city administration has banned the sale of toy guns and pistols. Police has been told to deal sternly with the tradesman who violate the order.

DJ Butt gets Rs 17 million tax notice

According to Jang (July 9, 2015) DJ Butt had to pay dearly (mehnga parr gya) for his demand for more money from Tehrik-e-Insaf. He has been sent a tax notice of Rs 17,260,000 and the government has decided to audit his accounts. He may also be fined for not filing tax returns.

Tent service says PTI owes them Rs 4.6 million

After DJ Butt, the tent service employed by the PTI for their sit-in in Islamabad has also claimed the party owes them money, reports Dunya (July 10, 2015). The owner says his equipment was booked for four days but kept for four months, during which some of it was damaged or burnt. Of the Rs 9 million bill, the party has only paid Rs 4.4 million, he says, and Imran Khan is not responding to his emails.

Nawa-e-Waqt reports (July 9, 2015) the Fishermen Cooperatives Society in Karachi has been told to stop paying salaries to 334 ‘ghost employees’. The fake employees had been getting salaries since a year and a half ago.

Metro bus drivers demand salaries

Reported in Express (July 11, 2015) drivers of the Rawalpindi Metro Bus Service went on strike because they had not been paid their salaries since the service began. They gave a symbolic sit-in outside the parliament.

Woman beats up polygamous husband in court

Dunya reports (July 12, 2015) a woman sued her husband for Rs 300,000 for marrying a second woman without her permission. When the man arrived in court, she held him by his collar and showered him with slaps (thaprron ki barish).

Man beheads corpse to bring back wife

Reported in Express (July 13, 2015) a man in Gujrat dug a grave and cut off the head of a corpse so that a magician could bring his angry wife back with magic. Police is looking for the family of the corpse.

Jang says (July 7, 2015) two nephews of a lawmaker from Multan attacked the office of the Multan Electric Company (halla bol diya). They broke the doors, windowpanes, furniture, and equipment at the office, destroyed their record, and took their files, and beat the staff  (zad-o-kob) before they fled.

Women beat up lady health worker

Nawa-e-Waqt reports (July 7, 2015) two women used sticks to beat up a lady health workers who had come to their house while surveying for dengue larvae in Ferozewala. They warned her of dire consequences and fled (faraar).
