The chief security officer of Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) was detained by the police, who also purportedly found narcotics in his possession and a large number of objectionable films of varsity staff and female students on his two mobile phones.
According to the FIR filed on the complaint of Sub Inspector Muhammad Afzal Nawaz, a car was given the signal to halt at a police picket in Baghdadul Jadid. The driver tried to escape, but the cops stopped him. When the police examined the vehicle, they discovered aphrodisiacs and 10 grams of ice in his possession. The driver identified himself as Islamia University Bahawalpur Chief Security Officer Syed Ejaz Hussain Shah of Muhammadia Colony.
The FIR further claimed that the suspect's two mobile devices contained a large number of offensive films and images of female students and staff. The report also stated that the suspect acknowledged using and selling ice and that female students and department heads were included in the offensive images and videos.
On the other hand, the vice-chancellor of the university is trying to cover up the shocking incident by terming it a 'conspiracy’ against the officials of the university.
