Overheard at the Pakistan Super League concluding match in Dubai, a Begum dripping with diamonds, to the American sitting next to her, “This Super Bowl you mentioned. Is it by Wedgewood?”
Uncle Sam’s den
Our mole in Uncle Sam’s den has revealed that the late lamented Big Ben’s Hubby has had an unremarkable visit to the land of opportunity. We hear no one of any significance in the administration met him. There was said to be a meeting with a former embassador to Pakistan but the lady is no longer connected with anything subcontinental, so the utility of the meeting was questionable. There was also said to be a brief encounter with a Congressman of little import. On the whole, Hubby’s cross-Atlantic trip hasn’t added up to much.

Reliable sources say that The Man of Steel’s recent jibe at the Nabbers was not without cause. We’ve heard that the Nabbers presented The Man with a list of potential “victims” who were in their sights. Amongst these, we hear were two gentlemen who are thought to be close to The Man. This occasioned that stern riposte from The Man. “Hands off”, he is reported to have said.
Stale prawns
Recent news reports stated that Mush had an episode of ill health. Upon investigation it transpires that he ate stale prawns at a friend’s dinner party and had to see his doctor for a badly upset tummy.
