PTI Steps Back From Much Hyped Demand For Immediate Elections
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has stepped back from its much hyped demand for immediate elections, journalist Asma Shirazi reported on her YouTube channel.

While talking to senior journalists, President Arif Alvi said that his party demands elections, not immediate elections; therefore, the word "immediate" should not be linked with the demand of his party.

The president also said that PTI wants to do negotiations with the government, but there has been no positive response from the other side.

However, in the past, the PTI chairman and former premier used to say in public meetings, while referring to political rivals, that he would never talk to 'robbers'.

Asma Shirazi has said that apparently early elections have been eliminated from the list of demands in a bid to avoid the expected detention of former prime minister Imran Khan, and a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) is being sought through dialogue and negotiations.
