Political pundits are predicting that the Sialkoti Khawaja will be out on bail soon. The main hurdle in the way is The Great Khan, who put him in prison in the first place. It’s no secret that the Khawaja is pally with the Big Boy, and it came as a shock to him when he was arrested by the NABbers. We hear a message has been conveyed to The Khan that it’s also time to set The Man of Steel’s Talented Bro free but that’s a leap too far for The Great Khan. The bookies are taking bets that the Sialkoti Khawaja will be out on bail before the Senate elections. Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen.

A European diplomat met The Big Boy to express his concern about an impending march on the capital. And no, it’s not the PDM’s Long March that’s wracking their nerves, but the planned protest of religious radicals, seeking the ouster of l’ambassadeur de France. The Big Boy apparently pooh-poohed the so-called “agreement” between the government and the radicals to banish His Excellency, saying that there was no question of the envoy’s expulsion at the behest of extremists. The Big Boy further assured the diplomat that he would “sort them out.”
Ill-fitting genes
If ever there was a misfit in Naya Pakistan, it is the great poet’s son. He’s tried his best to blend in but he has a pair of ill-fitting genes and can’t hack it with the current brand of vulgarity. Thus it was that a recent spat between him and Mr G was caught on camera, part of an on-going turf war, given that they are both “spokesmen” of The Great Khan. They had an altercation in front of journos, after which Mr G went running to The Khan’s right hand man to complain. Doesn’t Mr G know that this is what The Great Khan enjoys most – his teammates squabbling like “fishwives”, as he is wont to say?
