Laid back

Lahore’s new poolce chief is nothing if not laid back. Our mole reports that a fortnight ago, when The Great Khan was visiting the provincial capital, he summoned his stalwarts to the Guv’s House. With The Khan sitting in the Guv’s office, a number of stalwarts waited in an adjoining room. Amongst these personages was the poolce’s chief, his senior (the gent who’s in charge of the entire province), and a few ministers and advisors. The poolce chief was in a jovial mood, laughing and joking, stretched back in his comfy chair, smoking away. Those present were taken aback at his lack of decorum in front of his senior.

Staying put

There were rumours that The Great Khan’s right hand secretary was for the high jump or that he was thinking of high tailing it before the going got really rough. The desired destination was supposed to be a plum job in an international institution. Well, The Khan refused to let him go – “I can’t do without him”, he is rumoured to have said. So, another was chosen to fill the foreign vacancy. And the right hand has stayed put.

Shut up call

The Sheikh of Lal Haveli prides himself on being The Boyz’ spokesman and then proceeds to make the most outlandish pronouncements. His latest ill-judged revelation was about the comings and goings of various politicos to The Boyz’ place. When he was given a mild rebuke, he responded with a holier than thou belligerence. We hear he was then given a no holds barred shut up call and told that he should desist from making spontaneous statements and that all utterances concerning The Boyz should first be vetted by them.
