Reported in Dunya (July 23, 2015) a passenger left 210 grams of gold in a train when he got off at the Hyderabad railway station, but the honest railway police in Karachi seized the gold and returned it to the owner.

According to Jang (July 23, 2015) famous actor Ali Saleem, also known as Begum Nawazish Ali, was arrested for being drunk and disorderly, fighting with the police, and tearing a cop’s uniform. He was released on bail.

Florida woman in Gujranwala for Facebook love

Express reports (July 24, 2015) an African American woman arrived in Gujranwala after falling in love with a man from the Manchar Chattha village on Facebook. The 40-year-old resident of Florida was converted to Islam (kalma parrhwaya gya), after which the two were married in a lawyer’s chamber.

Terror suspect caught digging tunnel to famous club

A terror suspect was arrested in Lahore while digging a tunnel to a famous club with the intent of carrying out a terrorist attack, Jang reports (July 24, 2015). The club was only 100 meters from his house. He dug in the day and threw out the soil at night. Police says he is a member of ISIS.

Hackers sympathize with matric low scorers

Reported in Dunya (July 26, 2015) the website of the Dera Ghazi Khan education board was hacked. The hackers left a message on the front page in which they sympathized with the students who scored poorly in the matriculation exam.

Nawa-e-Waqt reports (July 26, 2015) when a suspected decoit arrived in court in Gujranwala for a hearing, his mother and his wife who had come to see him began to argue over something (talkh kalami), which turned into a scuffle (hatha pai). They began to wrestle (gutham gutha), slapped each other, and fought with bottles.

Police arrest fake judge

Reported in Express (July 27, 2015) police arrested a fake civil judge with a blue strobe on his car and a fake letter pad, at a checkpoint in Lahore. He turned out to be a schoolteacher from Kasur who had come to Lahore to meet a woman who he became friends with on the phone.

Aab-e-Zamzam theft at Lahore airport

According to Jang (July 27, 2015) there has been an increase in complaints of theft of Aab-e-Zamzam at Lahore airport. The water is stolen from the luggage of passengers returning from Hajj and sold to large superstores.

Punjab MPA wants ban on toy guns

Dunya reports (July 28, 2015) PTI lawmaker Mian Aslam Iqbal has submitted a resolution in Punjab Assembly calling for a ban on toy guns, because they result in negative tendencies in children and an inclination towards crime.

Uzbek woman flees from vulgarity hearing

Reported in Nawa-e-Waqt (July 28, 2015) an Uzbek woman arrested in Rawalpindi during a police campaign against vulgarity ran away from police custody when she was brought to a court. An SHO was suspended for negligence.
