Daily routine

Our mole in Bunny Gala reports that The Great Khan has a pretty set routine nowadays. Apparently, he gets in to work at around 11 am and leaves his office by 5 pm. Rumour has it that no official is allowed to accompany him to his home après 5 o’clock (in days of yore, various premiers have had at least their mil secs shadowing them even when they were at leisure, but not in this case, no sir).

Success: new definition

Isloo’s wags say that a particularly frivolous and loquacious min recently admitted to his pals that yes, the government is a disaster but then quoted a meme that’s gone viral on social media. “Lut tay gaye aan parr chass bari ayee aye!” (Translation: “we’ve failed but we’ve had great fun doing it!”) A quote from Winston Churchill comes to mind: “Success consists of going from failure to failure, without loss of enthusiasm.”

Unrelenting

The pressure on the Opposition is unrelenting, with former premier SKA now in the NABbers’ firm grip. This latest arrest has caused disquiet in certain sensitive quarters, and although it was expected, it is considered cringe-worthy by many. A crystal gazer says this disquiet may manifest itself in the days to come. At the same time, Faisalabad’s Rajput is defiant as ever, even though the narcotics case against him leaves no doubt of the government’s brutal intent. For his sins, though the relevant Court has ruled that he is entitled to home-cooked food and bedding, he is still denied these basic amenities. He has told his family that they are not to petition any quarter, other than the courts, for his legal rights.
